Gabbinbar State School

​Gabbinbar State School has proudly served the city of Toowoomba since 1972. We pride ourselves on our small-school feel with close ties to our community.​​​​​​​​​​​  Around 400 students are enrolled from prep to year 6, with our onsite C&K kindergarten​ offering a kindy program.

We offer a broad academic program with a strong emphasis on English, mathematics and science. We also have an outstanding instrumental music program. Students may choose from strings, woodwind, percussion and brass.

Our school has a history of supporting students with a range of needs and abilities to ensure their future success.We are proud that we foster an inclusive community with programs including Peer Support​.

  • 21 AugGabbinbar SS- There will be a Working Bee at school this Sunday 27 August from 10am-1pm for those who are able to lend a hand weeding part of the school. Please bring gardening tools to assist with this. Your support is greatly appreciated.
  • 17 AugGabbinbar SS- Junior Choir Reminder - Performance tomorrow on assembly, "Magpie Season" Please be at Hall at 8.30 for rehersal.
  • 17 AugGabbinbar SS- Bookweek Dress Up- children can choose to dress up on Thurs 24 August or Fri 25 August. This is to enable students who will be at the Music Camp or Swimming Program to participate. Assembly for next week will be on Thursday.
