Gabbinbar State School was bursting with creativity and colour as students and staff celebrated Book Week with a vibrant dress-up day on Friday, 22 August. The event was part of the school's week-long celebration of Australian children's literature, encouraging students to dive into the world of books and imagination.
From classic storybook characters to modern literary heroes, the school grounds were transformed into a living library. Students proudly paraded their costumes, showcasing favourites like Dogman, Fancy Nancy, and characters from Dr Seuss and Roald Dahl books.
Teachers joined in the fun too, dressing up and sharing stories with their classes, making the day both educational and entertaining. The event highlighted Gabbinbar’s commitment to fostering a love of reading and creativity in its students.
Book Week continues to be a cherished tradition at Gabbinbar, bringing the school community together to celebrate the joy of storytelling.
